A roadside farm extending to 105ac and located at Woodlawn, Kilashee, Co Longford, is described as a superb holding with the added advantage of extensive road frontage onto two roads.

Local auctioneer James Murtagh said the property, which is situated one mile from the village of Kilashee and five miles from Longford town, is in excellent condition.

It also has a constant water supply and is surrounded by good fencing.

The area around Kilashee is renowned for its farming and the quality of this farm is testament to that reputation.

Mr Murtagh believes that the farm would make an excellent stand-alone enterprise.

With the requisite planning permission, a farmyard could be developed and a residence built to make it into a residential farm.

While a guide price has not been established, it is expected that the farm will go for a price at the upper end of the €8,000-10,000/ac bracket.

It will go under the hammer at 3pm on Friday, September 23, at the Longford Arms Hotel, in Longford.
