Locals eye Kildare land

Tillage farmers are expected to make up the bulk of those interested in a 27.9ac parcel of ground coming for sale at Killeen, Narraghmore, Co Kildare. The property will be sold at auction with a guide price in excess of €10,000/ac.

According to John Osborne, of selling agents Leinster Marts, Kilcullen, this is a great piece of arable land with no waste.

Currently in stubble, the holding is laid out in four divisions and is well sheltered with mature trees.

There are no buildings with the land, which is described as pure tillage ground. It comes with 500m of road frontage giving multiple access points.

Mr Osborne says there is strong local interest in the sale and he expects that the land, which has been let for a number of years, will attract a cross-section of tillage farmers from the area.

The holding goes to auction on Thursday, March 22 at 3pm.
