Local interest is expected for a 31ac residential roadside farm for sale near Borris-in-Ossory, Co Laois. This executor sale includes a neat, well kept four-bedroom bungalow with a range of out-houses.

The property will be offered in lots and Rathdowney auctioneer, William Mansfield is guiding the sale at €380,000.

The farm is located one mile from Borris-in-Ossory and a half mile from the M7 between Portlaoise and Roscrea.

According to Mr Mansfield the lands, which have been let in recent years, are in permanent pasture, well minded and in good heart. There is limited road frontage.

The house has modern double-glazed windows throughout and oil-fired central heating. The farmyard is made up of a range of buildings that include a barn, piggery and cow byres.

Mr Mansfield is offering the farm in the entire or in lots. One section takes in the residence and outbuildings on 0.5ac, while the main portion of the land, 30.9ac, makes up the second lot.

The auction takes place at the Abbeyleix Manor hotel, at 3pm on Friday, October 5.
