Locals expected to bid for 54.5ac Wexford farm

Significant local interest is expected in the upcoming sale of a 54.5ac non-residential property at Horeswood, Campile, Co Wexford.

The farm has a pre-auction guide price of €10,000/ac.

Campile village is located 14km from the town of New Ross and the farm at Horeswood is less than 2km from the village.

The land is described by Anne Carton of selling agents PN O'Gorman as top quality ground, the majority of which is currently under stubble.

The holding will be offered in a number of lots, with lot one comprising 24.2ac.

This is laid out in three main divisions of tillage and a small portion that is in permanent pasture.

Lot two is a 20.5ac parcel in a number of fields at a crossroads beside the local graveyard, while lot three is a 9.78ac parcel near the church.

The property will be sold by public auction at the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross at 3pm on Friday, November 15.

Across the county border in Kilkenny, the same agent is handling the sale of another non-residential holding extending to 24.4ac.

The property will be offered for sale in two lots with a guide price of €7,500-10,000/ac. It is located at Lennaght and Ballinabarney, close to the Rower and Inistioge.

Lot one, known as the Barrack Field, is described as top quality land currently in stubble and extending to 11.24ac. Lot two is a 13.18ac block in four fields of permanent pasture.

The holding will be sold at public auction at the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross at 3pm on Wednesday, November 13.
