The land is for sale by private treaty and comes with a guide price of €640,000, just under €10,000/ac.

Described as a fine parcel of land by Nick Popplewell of selling agents Sherry FitzGerald Hawthornthwaite, the property is situated midway between St Helens Bay Golf Club and Carne.

The property is a few minutes from Rosslare and 20km south of Wexford town.

The lands at Newhouses and Oldmill are laid out in four generous fields that are divided by long-established boundaries, the land is all under grass and has been rented for a number of years.

While there is limited road frontage with the property, a derelict cottage on the north-eastern boundary may be of some benefit in terms of development potential.

Half the land slopes down to the coastline and enjoys uninterrupted sea views, while a 300m section of beach gives direct access to the shoreline.

Nick Popplewell believes this access to the sea makes this property unique.

"Considering the length of coastline in Wexford, it is surprisingly rare that we get to offer property with excellent views and on top of the beach frontage. This land is of a high quality and is currently under grass," he said.
