World number one event rider Andrew Nicholson and Badminton Horse Trials winner Jock Paget are to go head-to-head at this weekend's Tattersalls International Horse Trials and Country Fair.

The Kiwi pair are among a host of top international riders entered for the competition in Ratoath, Co Meath over the bank holiday weekend.

The three-day event, run in association with Horse Sport Ireland, starts on Thursday and finishes with the showjumping phase on Sunday.

Ian Stark's jaw-dropping cross-country course last year saw current world number two William Fox-Pitt win the main event, the CCI3*, for the second consecutive year.
