Keen interest expected for forestry lands

Forestry land and forestry attracts investors from across the sectors and so Paul Lafferty of Forest Sales is expecting lively interest in more than 200ac of planting land with afforestation approval.

The forestry ground is in the following sections:

* Barraduff, Co Kerry: 80ac parcel, including approval for Sitkus spruce and Scots pine. Guided price at €4,000/ac.

* Inchroe, Co Cork: 40ac of planting land with approval for Sitka spruce and 50ac of mountain ground. Guide price €200,000.

* Sinolare near Knock Airport: 58ac including Sitka spruce and Japanese larch. Guide price for entire €140,000.

* Close to Castlerea, Co Roscommon: 45ac parcel of good, enclosed ground. Guide price at more than €202,000.

Mr Lafferty is also in the process of signing contracts for a 366ac forestry portfolio in Donegal, which was sold for more than €288,000.
