D & S Machinery, Ireland's independent importer and distributor for McCormick Tractors, has appointed Irwin Brothers as its new McCormick tractor dealer for Co Fermanagh and the border region. Irwin Brothers are based at Annaghilly Farm, Rosslea, Co Fermanagh.

The family business, run by Neville, John and Stephen Irwin, has been providing sales and service for farm machinery users in the area since 2000. Sales are managed by Neville and Stephen. Stores are also managed by Stephen, while John deals with the service and the workshop.

The dealership provides a full service back-up with service vans on the road in addition to a comprehensively-stocked parts department. Spare parts are stocked for a full range of tractors and machinery.

In recent years Irwin Brothers' sales of tractors and machinery have gone from strength to strength through their existing agencies which include Landini tractors and the Krone and Abbey ranges of grass and farm yard machinery, to name a few.

The arrival of the McCormick franchise to Annaghilly Farm will further strengthen the business. Irwin Brothers believe their knowledge and experience of working on second hand Case IH MX and McCormick MTX models will help attract customers into their door.

This dealership has been selling new Landini tractors for the last five years, which means the service team has received training on the modern engines and transmissions on the market today.

Doncaster built McCormick models such as the CX, MC and MTX still remain popular second hand tractors in Irwin's local area today. Stephen Irwin believes that those customers will now consider looking at the 2016 range of McCormick models which he has in stock with keen introduction prices.

"We are confident we can engage interest in both existing and new customers with the latest tractors McCormick can offer," he said.

"Today the McCormick range includes models like the X4, X5, X6 (110-140hp) and X7 (131-212hp), consisting of four and six cylinder tractors. There is a wide choice with lots of bases covered regardless of farm enterprise or contractor size."

The latest McCormick edition is the continuously variable "CVT" or "vario" transmission in the X7 VT-Drive range. This new CVT range is available up to 195hp and uses a ZF transmission and backend.

Irwin Brothers have been busy over the last few weeks launching their new McCormick franchise at the Farm Machinery Shows in Fintona and Cavan, with keen prices and finance options on all new models.
