With all of the Irish equestrian riders now confirmed, the focus turns to the job in hand and the Irish supporters are being urged to get behind the Irish eventing team and individual dressage, show jumping and para-equestrian riders heading to South America in the coming weeks.

Greg Broderick has been nominated as Ireland's sole representative in show jumping with MHS Going Global, while Judy Reynolds will fly the flag in dressage with Vancouver K.

Helen Kearney with Rock & Roll 2 competes in dressage at the Paralympics which follow the Olympic Games on September 7.

Reserves in show jumping are Bertram Allen with Molly Malone V and Cian O'Connor with Good Luck.

Last month the Irish eventing team was confirmed as

Clare Abbott and Euro Prince; Jonty Evans with Cooley Rorke's Drift; Mark Kyle with Jemilla and Padraig McCarthy with Simon Porloe or Bernadette Utopia. The travelling reserve is Camilla Speirs with Portersize Just A Jiff.

The eventing action gets underway on August 6th and two days of dressage will be followed by cross-country and then show jumping on the final day, August 9, when the team and individual medals will be decided.

Team dressage follows on August 10-12, with the individual medals being contested on August 15.
