Irish dairy farmer left feeling 'depressed' over milk price crisis
A dairy farmer from Ballyskeagh Farm in Newtownards said he is 'depressed' and 'demotivated' over the milk crisis in Ireland.
Philip Pearson has been a dairy farmer for over 25-years and his farm has been passed down through generations. Philip said: "The whole situation is a disaster, I have two young boys and I've told them to stay in school and get a job and not to work on the farm.
He added: "Soon there will be no farmers left."
Agriculture Minister, Michelle O'Neil is meeting her counterparts from Scotland, Wales and the UK farming unions on Monday.
