ICMSA call for SFP advance

The ICMSA has called for 70pc of the Single Farm Payment (SFP) to be paid in mid-October due to the "ferocious" cash-flow pressures at farm level.

The EU would be required to allow every Member State advance payments by the same level.

"We need Minister Coveney to aim for this and we need him to convince any sceptics in the EU Commission that the highest possible advance payment is both possible and necessary," said ICMSA president, John Comer.
