Ballinakill mart reported a quieter trade all round, with most of the cattle back by about €30-40/hd. However some good store bullocks still made up to €1,000 with their weight.

In general, heavy steers made €1.90-2.70/kg, forward stores made €2.10-3.00/kg and lighter lots sold for €1.95-3.10/kg. Weanling bulls sold for €2.15-2.85/kg, while heifers sold for €1.35-2.05/kg. Beef heifers sold for €2.00-2.45/kg and stores made €1.80-2.25/kg.
