There is strong local interest in a 40ac parcel of ground with a yard at Grange in Co Limerick located 12 miles from Limerick city and six miles from the mart at Kilmallock. The property is for sale by private treaty with a guide price of €375,000.

William Gabbett of John Shaw auctioneers describes the holding as good, early upland ground laid out in six fields. There is limited road frontage with the potential, subject to planning, for turning it into a residential holding.

Meanwhile, auctioneer Matt Dunne is selling 18.5ac of good grazing land at Rathmuck, Kildangan Road, Co Kildare with a guide of €7,000/ac.

A mile off the main Kildangan/Kildare Road, five miles from Kildare Village and six miles from the Curragh, the land is all in grass and situated at the end of a cul de sac.

A parcel of 14ac is described as excellent arable land ideal for any equestrian venture while the remaining four acres requires reclamation. The land will be auctioned at 3pm on May 14 at the Maldron Hotel, in Portlaoise, Co Laois.

Elsewhere, a lovely 46.3ac parcel of elevated tillage land on the Wexford and Wicklow border has come to the market to be sold by public auction.

Located at Askinch, Coolgreany, Gorey, Co Wexford the land is guided at €400,000 to €460,000.

David Quinn of Quinn Properties describes the farm as "a real good piece of ground" laid out in two fields of 30ac and 16ac respectively.
