Federation's job to promote wood products and usage

The Wood Marketing Federation (WMF) was established in 1989 to promote wood products, standards, design and usage.

The Federation recognised there was a need to promote wood, especially to builders, architects, engineers, designers, state agencies and educational bodies as there was a dearth of knowledge of wood and its potential as a sustainable construction and design medium.

While the WMF promotes wood to the wider public, most of its work is aimed at specialist audiences, for example timber processors, wood traders, architects, engineers and Government bodies that interact with the forestry and forest products sector.
