The Farming Independent stand will be back at the Ploughing Championships this year with something for everyone.

On Wednesday afternoon the winner of our hugely popular tractor competition will be announced.

Selected from more than 13,000 entries, the lucky winner will receive the keys to a Case IH Farmall 105hp tractor worth €48,000.

Every day, columnists and editors from the Farming team, including editor Declan O'Brien, Darragh McCullough, Caitriona Murphy, John Shirley, John Fagan, Jim O'Brien and Joe Healy will be present to discuss the issues of the day.

In addition, the Farming team will be joined by some of the highest-profile commentators in the country, including rugby analyst Tony Ward, GAA columnist Martin Breheny, and political editor Fionnan Sheahan.

Visitors to the stand will have the chance to get their hands on Ann and Robin Talbot's new book, A Year on our Farm. The fully illustrated 120-page publication chronicles the ups and downs of daily life on the couple's beef farm at Ballacolla, Co Laois. The much-praised publication will be selling for a special Ploughing rate of €15.

The stand will be located at the centre of the site at Stand 300, Row S, Block 2. Be sure to pay us a visit.
