There is some great land where Offaly and Tipperary meet between Moneygall and Toomevara. A 21.25ac parcel of ground at Thornvale, Toomevara is typical of this region.

Located off the old main road between Dublin and Limerick, the property is situated at the end of a shared avenue. The land is the best of grazing ground and is currently all in grass and leased until the end of the season.

Moneygall is the ancestral home to Barack Obama and the property is accessed off the N7 on the Moneygall side of Toomevara.

At the entrance to the property is an old mass concrete stock gathering and handling area in a few sections. In its day it would have been known as 'a pound'. The land is all in one block and in the main made up of good solid grazing ground that runs down to the Ollatrim River that bounds the property.

Walking through it the place is firm under foot and has some nice stands of trees providing decent shelter.

Nenagh auctioneer William Talbot of Sherry FitzGerald Talbot is handling the private treaty sale and is guiding the price at €199,500 or just under €10,000/ac.

Carrigatoher land

On the Limerick side of Nenagh Mr Talbot is selling a 16ac parcel of ground at Ballyhogan, Carrigatoher guided at €10,000/ac.

Located about 11km from Nenagh the land is 1km from Ballywilliam school and church. It is a nicely elevated piece of ground laid out in two fields with extensive road frontage on to two roads and great views over the surrounding countryside.

William Talbot describes it as top class grazing ground that could have residential potential subject to the required planning permission granted.
