Extension to TAMS work

The Department of Agriculture is to extend the two-year time limit for completion of work under TAMS. The move is in recognition of the severe cashflow pressures on farms due to the fodder crisis.

The extension is limited to the dairy equipment, rainwater harvesting and sheep fencing/handling schemes.

Farmers who have not completed investment work within the two-year timeframe may apply in writing to the Department for an extension of the time-limit.

ICMSA president John Comer welcomed the move.
