The bulk of a 55.09ac farm at Tulla, Co Clare failed to sell at auction last week, while two smaller portions and a parcel of bog sold under the hammer or immediately after auction.

Located 20 minutes from Ennis, the farm was described by auctioneer James O'Halloran as comprising exceptional quality farmland and came with several traditional outbuildings including cattle sheds and haysheds.

The main portion extended to c.49ac, with up to €6,000 in entitlements. It failed to open at €350,000 and was withdrawn but there was interest since.
