Donegal IFA demand more resignations

Motions calling for the resignation of the directors of livestock and rural development, Kevin Kinsella and Gerry Gunning, along with Farm Family chair Maura Canning were all passed at last week's IFA county executive AGM in Donegal.

Donegal county chair, Michael Chance, said that while valid concerns were raised on farm assist and livestock, focussing the motions on individuals rather than the issues themselves was the wrong approach.

The motions were put forward by John Gibbons, a former member of the county executive for many years, who said more action was needed.
