'Delours' back on market

Jim O’Brien

Delours Valley (pictured above) is a residential farm of 50ac at Killanure, Mountrath, Co Laois.

The property is back on the market with a guide price of between €700,000 and €800,000. Bought as a veritable wilderness in 2003, the holding was developed with great care and attention to detail.

All the fields were cleaned, ploughed, reseeded and fenced with top quality post-and-rail fencing. The yard contains an extensive range of modern sheds and cattle handling facilities, including a seven-bay double-sided slatted shed and three four-bay machinery sheds on a concrete surface.

Located seven miles from Mountrath, the house is an extensive five-bedroom, modern dormer bungalow finished to a high standard and with a double garage.

Set in beautiful mountainous countryside it is approached by a kilometre- long tarmac avenue, fenced with post-and-rail fencing and lined with lime trees.

The private treaty sale of the property is being handled by Seamus Burke, auctioneer, Mountrath.
