IT WASN'T the most exciting of weeks around the marts with most categories showing a drop in price on Ringside.

Steers were back by 2-7c/kg with light stores making from 205-270c/kg.

More forward types sold for 200-255c/kg with the over 600kg lots making from 180-225c/kg.

Plain bullocks ranged from 140-160c/kg. Continental heifers sold from 200-260c/kg with poorer quality lots making from 180-185c/kg in the main.

Weanling bulls had a tough week and were back by between 3-16c/kg.

Light bulls were selling for 200-260c/kg. Heavier types made from 200-240c/kg while the plainer lots made from 148-180c/kg.

The weanling heifers were down by up to 30c/kg. This was particularly the case for the lighter types where prices ranged from 235-280c/kg. Lots over 300kg were easier by 5-9c/kg and selling from 230-280c/kg.

The plain heifers made from 195-205c/kg. Suck calves, Dairy cows and sucklers sold reasonably well.
