A two-bed cottage on six acres at Pelletstown, on the Meath/Kildare border near Batterstown, will be sold at auction and comes with a guide price of €225,000-250,000.

Susan Kirk, of Coonan Real Estate Alliance, Maynooth, Co Meath, describes the property as a very attractive holding situated at the heart of the country with ready access to town and city.

The property is 1.5 miles from the village of Batterstown, six miles from Dunboyne and 7.8 miles from Maynooth, while the M3 to Dublin is only a few minutes away.

The residence comprises a two-bedroom bungalow, with sitting room and bathroom, extending to 1,000 sq ft.

The house is in good condition and situated on mature gardens that include a substantial stone outhouse.

Adjoining the house are 5.5ac of land all in one field. The land is in grass and has excellent road frontage.

Ms Kirk says that there is ample opportunity to extend the residence into a larger family home subject to planning permission.
