A large parcel of Carlow arable land located near Killerig crossroads, midway between Tullow and Castledermot, will go under the hammer on May 12.
The 114ac farm is laid out in one block and comes with extensive road frontage. While there is no guide price for the property, land in the area has been fetching prices ranging from €9,000-€12,000/ac.
Matthew Connery, of selling agents Dawson Auctioneers, Tullow, describes the non-residential farm as a prime piece of arable ground that would also be ideally suited to grazing. It is currently under both tillage and grass and is laid out in eight well-fenced divisions that have a natural water supply.
The farm will be auctioned in three lots on the day: lot one consisting of 52ac and lot two consisting of 62ac, while the entire will make up lot three. The lots are naturally divided and both have road frontage on to the same side of the one road. The sale takes place on Thursday, May 12, at the Tullow offices of Dawson auctioneers.
