Buyer gets slice of golf action
The 112ac Moor Park Golf Course at Follistown and Morrell, 5km from Navan was sold after auction last week for a figure above the highest bid of €700,000.
Chris Smith of auctioneering firm, Quillsen (formerly Gunne) negotiated a deal afterwards and secured what he describes as a "significantly greater figure to an undisclosed buyer".
The 5,607m (par 72) course facility established in the early 1990s continues to be used as a golf course and comes with a four-bedroom bungalow used as a clubhouse while a separate building is used to house machinery.
