Antrim firm are offering a one-man bale solution
Would you benefit from a one-tractor operation to load and shred bales for feeding and bedding?
Antrim-based manufacturer BlaneyAgri claims its new Bale Shredder with optional self-loading system can offer the type of one-man, one-machine solution many livestock farms are looking for.
The main feature of the BlaneyAgri Bale Shredder is a large diameter rotor that allows fast bale throughput to get each task done as efficiently as possible, shredding a bale for feeding or bedding in around 20 minutes.
The firm claims its Bale Shredder can chop bales up to five times faster than a diet feeder by maximising material flow within the drum and rotor.
The option of a self-loading system means the machine can lift and load a bale all at the push of a lever. It can deal with 4ft and 5ft bales weighing up to 900kg, with the operator first having to remove the plastic and netting.
The clamping arms at the rear of the Bale Shredder have been developed to close in around the bale to lift it and load it securely into the drum.
Farmers concerned about the weight involved in working with heavy bales can consider the trailed kit.
