Candidates with farming experience required for apprenticeship in Insurance Practice
Ireland’s fastest growing farm insurer creates opportunities following success of 2016 programme
Zurich Insurance is calling on candidates with farming experience for a dedicated Apprenticeship in Insurance Practice.
The Apprenticeship, which is open to new applicants for the second year, is designed to offer job seekers the opportunity to secure a three year training and development opportunity with Zurich, at its centre of excellence in Wexford.
The programme will this year create two specialist opportunities to work as part of Zurich’s Agri Team, with a focus on managing the business’ farm portfolio.
Initiated by Zurich and developed by the insurance industry and the III, the programme centres on developing learners’ core skills through challenging on the job experience and an extensive range of world-class training supports.
Apprentices will be able to earn while they learn and work towards achieving their Professional Diploma in General Insurance, with the opportunity to go on to secure a Level 8 BA Honours Degree in Insurance Practice.
In addition to professional training during their placement, successful applicants with a farming background will experience first hand the extensive skills required to work within Zurich’s Agri division, and will gain extensive knowledge of the farm insurance industry, working with Zurich’s wide range of coverage including farming property, livestock, farm home and business interruption.

The Apprenticeship in Insurance Practice is open for online applications, which will be accepted up until Wednesday 31 May 2017.
