There is active interest in the private treaty sale of Beech Grove, a 93ac farm with a derelict residence and courtyard located near Clane, Co Kildare.

The property, which is adjacent to Donadea National Forest Park, comes with full planning permission to restore the imposing two-storey residence. It is being guided at a price in excess of €850,000. The holding is currently under offer at €770,000.

Located close to Staplestown village, four miles from Clane and over seven miles from Maynooth, the holding is approached along a tree-lined avenue that leads to the derelict residence and yard.

The remains of the buildings are set on an elevated site overlooking the surrounding countryside.

The lands are laid out in one division and are currently under tillage and come with 565m of road frontage.

According to Gero Gannon of selling agents Sherry FitzGerald Reilly, the lands are in good heart and, while currently let for tillage, vacant possession will be guaranteed at the end of the season.

Mr Gannon is confident that a deal reflecting the guide price will be concluded in the next few weeks.
