Twenty acres of land with ocean and lake views is for sale near the lovely village of Leap in west Cork.
While this part of the Rebel County is attractive at the best of times, when a piece of it can be bought for €6,250/ac it is almost irresistible.
This land is all in one block with public road frontage on one side. It is currently laid out in grass with some rough grazing and around three acres of young forestry. The land, for the most part, is relatively level and extends to a height of around 130m above sea level.
The property is located in the townland of Knockskeagh, three miles from the village of Leap and seven from Skibbereen.
We've heard of affordable housing before but Henry O'Leary describes this particular property as an example of affordable farming.
"This would make a lovely hobby farm," said Mr O'Leary. "And with the proper planning, it would make a beautiful site for a residence."
Mr O'Leary said the land was of good quality, while the holding has excellent lake and ocean views from the elevated parts of the property.
The holding is for sale by private treaty with a guide price of €125,000.
