A 95ac residential farm in north Tipperary has been accorded a pre-auction guide price of €750,000 or almost €8,000/ac.

The farm at Currabaha is in the parish of Templederry, good farming country located between Nenagh and Thurles.

The farm is found off the Nenagh-Thurles road approximately 20km from Nenagh and 24km from Thurles.

With road frontage on to two roads and river frontage, the land is described by auctioneer Tom Crosse of GVM Limerick as "some of the best one could walk", especially a 60ac parcel of higher ground. A 30ac portion of the farm located closer to the river is of a heavier type.

Laid out in easily managed fields, the ground is well looked after and in good heart. During the boom it was bought for its quarrying potential, a resource that should continue to bring added value to the holding.

The property includes an old dwelling house that needs a lot of work and an old traditional farmyard also in need of attention.

The farm will be sold at auction at the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, Co Tipperary at 3pm on Wednesday, November 27.
