A 63AC FARM located at Whitechurch on the outskirts of Cork city and owned by well-known Cork butchers, McSweeney's, is coming on the market with a guide price of €10,000 to €12,000/ac.

Situated at Dromgarriff, 8.5km from the city and 2km from Whitechurch, the property comes with an extensive range of cattle accommodation and handling facilities and would be ideal for any livestock farmer. According to auctioneer Dan Fleming, there is a huge array of sheds, slatted units, cattle crushes and holding pens.

Mr Fleming describes it as a very attractive holding, all laid out in grass, in a number of level fields approached by a tree-lined entrance. "The place is accessed by a stone entrance and no expense was spared in any work undertaken," he said.

The land is described as the best of grazing ground, but could do with some attention and possible reseeding.

The holding has extensive road frontage on to two roads. The farm is on the market by private treaty.
