Land sales have been attracting a lot of attention in Longford in the past few months, with the sale of some bigger land blocks coming on the market in the midlands. However, the market for small and medium-sized parcels of ground also continues apace.

Granard auctioneer Eamonn Drake is handling the private treaty sale of a 58ac non-residential farm at Whitehill, Edgeworthstown.

Located three miles from Edgeworthstown, in the direction of Ballinalee, the property comes with a guide of €6,500 to €7,000/ac.

The land enjoys decent road frontage and is described as good grazing ground. It is all in old pasture and comprises a mixture of firm and heavier ground.

Laid out in five easily managed fields, the property is well fenced and has a natural and piped water supply.

Further to the south of the county at Clondra, Mr Drake is looking after the sale of 28ac of low-lying ground that is located close to the village.

The guide for this property is €5,000/ac.
