47ac Wicklow farm to go under hammer

A guide price of €8,000/ac is being quoted by auctioneer David Quinn for a 47ac mixed tillage and grassland holding at Tinahely, Co Wicklow.

The property is located close to Tinahely village, with access to the land via a laneway beside the local Teagasc office. A second access point is located on the Coolboy road.

The farm is described by Mr Quinn as "excellent quality ground with no waste".

One third of the holding is in cereals, with the remainder in permanent pasture.

The river Derry flows through the farm.

The farm is being offered in the entire or in two lots of 40ac and seven acres. It is being sold by public auction on Tuesday, July 19 at the Carnew offices of Quinn Property.

David Quinn is also handling the sale of a 55ac farm at Annagh, Gorey, Co Wexford.

The property is just off the Gorey to Tinahely road, five miles from Gorey and seven miles from Tinahely.

Access is via a laneway and the holding also has frontage onto the Bann River.

It is for sale by public auction on Wednesday, July 20. A guide price of €6,000 to €7,000/ac is being quoted by Mr Quinn.
