45ac Wexford farm in need of makeover

A 45ac residential property at Templeludigan, Ballywilliam, Co Wexford, is coming to auction with a guide price of €8,000-9,000/ac. Located 1.5 miles from the village of Ballywilliam, the lands are currently all in permanent pasture with good access throughout.

The traditional two-storey farmhouse on the property is in need of substantial renovation. It has four rooms with running water and electricity. The outbuildings include a large secure workshop.

According to Anne Carton of selling agents PN O'Gorman, there will be plenty of interest when the land comes to auction at the Brandon House Hotel, New Ross on June 28 at 3pm.

Further north at Drumlargan, Kilcock, Co Meath, a 78ac farm, described by Phillip Byrne of selling agents Coonans Maynooth as prime agricultural land, is also competitively priced. The farm comes to auction in lots on June 25 with a guide price of €8,500/ac.

Located three miles from Summerhill and five miles from Kilcock, the land includes a range of cattle handling facilities and lapsed planning permission for a dormer bungalow.

The property will be sold in lots with Lot 1 extending to 41ac with cattle handling facilities. Lot two is 37ac with a 2ac site fenced and hedged in accordance with the original planning permission. Lot three incorporates the entire.

The farm will be sold at auction at the Glenroyal Hotel Maynooth at 3pm on Tuesday, June 25.
