€325k home fails to sell
A residential holding at Cranna, Cahir, Co Tipperary, comprising an extensive modern house and garage on 1.3ac and a 26ac parcel of pasture land with outbuildings and a derelict cottage, was put to auction at the Clonmel offices of auctioneers Stokes and Quirke .
The house failed to sell, but the 26ac sold for €240,000 (€9,230/ac). The land had been guided prior to auction at €260,000 (€10,000/ac).
The lands are in permanent pasture and laid out in around seven divisions with electric fencing, water troughs and mature hedging.
There is a derelict single-storey farmhouse centrally located on the holding. The out-offices include a cattle crush, stone sheds plus a modern lean-to shed and yard.
The house is a four-bedroom, two-storey property of around 3,300sqft with a detached garage. It is being guided at €325,000.
