28ac Kildare parcel guided at €6,000/ac

A parcel of land extending to 28ac at Derrymahon, Naas, Co Kildare comes up for auction tomorrow with a guide of €6,000/ac.

Located nine miles from Clane and 25 from Dublin, the property fronts onto a quiet country road within 15 minutes of Maynooth.

All in grass, the lands are laid out in two fields and described by Phillip Byrne of REA Coonans, Maynooth as good quality ground with decent road frontage.

The fields are well fenced and watered and are serviced by a hard-core internal roadway, providing excellent access to all parts of the property, which is bordered on one side by a stud farm and a plot of forestry on another.

Thanks to the provision of mains water and a septic tank, the property would make an ideal location for a residence and could be developed as a hobby farm subject to relevant planning permission.

The 28ac will be sold by public auction at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, at 3pm.

Still in Lilywhite country but further south, an attractive 25.38ac parcel of ground at Knocknagalliagh, Redhills, has come on the market. Situated close to the M7 at junction 13, the property is being guided by Jordan Auctioneers at €253,000 or €10,000/ac.

Described by Paddy Jordan as top quality ground, the land is suitable for grass or tillage with the soil type classified under the Elton Series in the Soils of Co Kildare.

Currently in permanent pasture in two fields, the property slopes southwards, making it early ground for planting and growing.

Thanks to extensive road frontage, the holding would make an ideal site for a residence, subject to the usual planning permission, and the property will be sold by public auction at 3pm on Wednesday, June 26 at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, Co Kildare.
