Farmers and contractors from all enterprises will have the chance to enter over the coming weeks for their chance to share a cash prize fund of over €25,000.

Application forms for the awards will only be in Tuesday's Farming Independent and people are asked to outline why they believe they are eligible. Sections include dairy, sheep, beef, tillage, equine, contractor, lifetime achievement and rising star.

"Winning the award was definitely the highlight of my year in 2014," said inaugural overall winner Kevin Nolan.

"It was great to see so many brilliant operators get the recognition they deserve."
