A substantial 146ac drystock farm at Coolalaw, Clonmore, located eight miles from Tullow, Co Carlow, will be one to watch when it comes to auction tomorrow.

The sale is being guided at €1m or about €7,000/ac.

The holding is described as a fine block of land by estate agent Tony Jackson.

About 100ac are in good heart but about 46ac need reclamation and attention. One field enjoys excellent road frontage, while the rest is set back from the road.

The land has had little development over the years and could do with some good husbandry.

Mr Jackson thinks the property is well guided at €1m.

"I believe the good land is worth about €8,000/ac, while the poorer land is worth around €6,000/ac," Mr Jackson said.

The auction takes place at 3pm tomorrow at the Tara Arms, Tullow.
