€10k/ac guide for Model holdings
TILLAGE land sales in the south-east always bring out the buyers and a 41ac parcel of ground near the village of Oylegate in Co Wexford will be no exception when it comes to auction next month with a guide of €10,000/ac.
Located at Coolnaboy, Oylegate close to the Wexford-Rosslare N25 road, the property has 400m of frontage on to the Oylegate-Glenbrien road
The land, which comes with €20,000 in yearly entitlements, is currently in winter corn. It is described by Colm Murphy of Kehoe & Associates as 'excellent quality' ground suited to grass or tillage.
In former days, this ground would have been made development prices but it is on the market at its agricultural value and will be sold at auction at Kehoe & Associates' office on Commercial Quay, Wexford on Thursday, September 3.
The following day, the same agents are auctioning a parcel of 15.4ac of grassland which will be sold in two lots with a guide of €10,000/ac.
Located 5km south of Wexford town the land at Killugger extends to 12.67ac. Currently in grass, the land is laid out in three paddocks but Colm Murphy says it is the best of arable ground in great heart.
A second lot extending to 2.735ac at Kilmacree has frontage on to the N25 and could possibly have some development potential in the future.
