Elverys announces new Stephen's Green store and 40 new Irish jobs

Sports retailer Elverys has announced that it is opening a new store in St Stephen's Green as part of a €1.5m investment and is creating 40 new jobs across the country.

Irish owned sports retailer Elverys Intersport, which has 55 stores across the country, said that €1.5m will be invested across its retail network and online platform over the course of the year.

Elverys chief executive Patrick Rowland said: “The 40 new jobs will be created right across our network in our e-commerce, marketing, retail management and retail operations’ departments.

"We are deploying €1.5m across the development of our retail network and our online platform over the course of the year.

"This includes a complete refit of our Blanchardstown, Sligo and Arklow stores, the opening of a new store in St. Stephen’s Green, the shop fronts of all stores and the development of a new online platform.”

Commenting on the announcement An Taoiseach Enda Kenny said: “I want to commend Elverys Intersport on today’s announcement. It represents a positive step forward for the company”
