CRH appoints Bank of Ireland executive as group finance director

Irish building materials giant CRH has appointed Senan Murphy as group finance director.

Mr Murphy, joins CRH from Bank of Ireland Group where he is currently the chief operating officer and a member of the group’s executive committee. He will take up his new position on 4 January 2016.

He succeeds Maeve Carton who will become Group Transformation Director at the company.

He previously held positions as chief operating officer and finance director at Ulster Bank, chief financial officer at Airtricity and numerous senior financial roles in GE.

CRH chief executive Albert Manifold said: “I am very pleased that Senan is joining CRH. This appointment strengthens and broadens the executive management team at an important time for the group as we continue to focus on business performance and value creation.”
