Cork council signs €1.25m Novosco deal
Managed cloud provider Novosco says it has secured a contract worth up to €1.25m to provide Cork County Council with a new solution to its IT infrastructure requirements.
The company, which employs 120 people with offices in Dublin, Cork and Belfast, won a tender to provide the council with a complete refresh, covering disaster recovery, back-up, and hosted infrastructure.
The council, which has 1,500 IT users and services a population of almost 400,000 people, selected Novosco based on its thorough understanding of the requirements, and its innovation and flexible solution. Novosco MD Patrick McAliskey said: "The partnership approach between Novosco and Cork County Council will take pressure off Cork's infrastructure, freeing IT staff to work on projects that are more in line with the Council's corporate and ICT strategies."
