Twenty lots sell at auction
A former railway station proved to be the most valuable lot at last week's Sherry FitzGerald public auction in Leopardstown Racecourse, Dublin where more than €2.3m was generated from the sale of 20 out of 26 lots offered.
A local bought Station House, Ross Lodge, Rosscahill, between Oughterard and Moycullen in Co Galway for €433,000. The house has tourism potential and is a protected structure on 3.25 acres. The price was more than double the €188,000 AMV.
Previously in 2005, it is believed to have sold for around €1m.
Also in last week's auction, a Galway city one bedroom, end of terrace house - 10 Taylor's Hill Court, Taylor's Hill - sold for €249,000, or €79,000 over its €170,000 AMV.
