Ten provincial pubs go on the market across the country
Some have development sites with potential
Ten provincial pubs, some with development potential, have been brought to the market by franchisees of the Sherry FitzGerald agency with guide prices ranging from €295,000 to €950,000.
In locations stretching from Donegal to Waterford, all are being sold separately mostly by their owner operators, some of whom are retiring.
The most valuable of them is Shearmans, Dunleer, Co Louth, for which SF Lannon is guiding €950,000. A turnkey licensed premises, it interconnects with the EverBean Coffee House and has two two-bedroom apartments on its first floor. Extending to 7,200 sq ft, its 0.5 acre town centre site also accommodates a 1,600 sq ft two-storey stone outbuilding.
In Wicklow, SF Catherine O'Reilly is quoting €895,000 for The Tap, Ballard Lower, Kilbride. Extending to almost 11,240 sq ft, the building sits on 1.2 acres close to the M11 motorway and convenient to the popular Brittas Bay beach. While it has not traded for some time, it comes with a drinks licence. It has potential for a lifestyle shopping destination, garden centre, restaurant, coffee shop or for holiday homes.
In Midleton, Co Cork, the award-winning Finín's Restaurant and Bar is being sold as a going concern. SF O'Donovan is asking €475,000 for the business at 75 Main Street which extends to 2,544 sq ft and can seat 100 customers.

In Co Galway, SF O'Toole Madden is guiding €370,000 for The Cross Cut, Duniry, Kylebrack, Loughrea. It comes with a three-bedroom adjoining residence and stores, garages and site.
In the seaside resort of Tramore, Co Waterford, the Sea Horse bar and restaurant at 3 Strand Street has a €350,000 asking price with SF John Rohan. Its accommodation extends to 3,500 sq ft. It also has a beer garden to the rear.
In Co Donegal, SF Rainey is asking €325,000 for Teach Gleann Ceo, Main Street, Doochary, a village on the R252 which connects Letterkenny and Stranorlar with Dungloe. As well as a bar and function rooms it comes with owner accommodation and three self-contained apartments.
In Co Kildare, Kellys Bar, Timahoe, Coill Dubh, will go for auction next Tuesday and SF Brady O'Flaherty has a €295,000 AMV.
Sitting on a 0.5 acre site, its overall floor area extends to 4,500 sq ft and includes a five-bedroom two-storey home.
