Savills has launched a new Building and Project Consultancy team in its Irish office in order to provide what it calls "a greater breadth of service for its clients".

The new service offering will be led by Allen Devine, who has joined the firm from commercial building consultants, Malcolm Hollis.

In a statement, Savills said Mr Devine and his team "will offer consultancy services for dilapidations, project management, design and contract administration, development monitoring, technical due diligence and reinstatement cost assessments".

Mr Devine holds a BSc (Hons) Building Surveying. He is a chartered member of both the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI) and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Simon Collett, head of building and project consultancy at Savills commented: "We're delighted to have Allen on board to drive this important new service offering for the Irish office.

"The landscape of the property industry in Ireland has changed quite dramatically in recent years and, with a significant increase in construction taking place throughout the country, now is an opportune time for us to launch this new division within Savills Ireland."

Savills has been providing building and project consultancy services to its clients for a number of years through its UK division but demand had spurred it to set up a dedicated in-house offering from Dublin.
