The head of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) has renewed her warning on the shortage of suitable office space

Speaking at the society's annual dinner, Pauline Daly said the shortage of space remains an acute concern.

"The current shortage of prime office space in our major cities poses a threat to our international competitiveness in terms of attracting foreign direct investment.

"We need more access to development finance to ensure adequate supply is brought to the market, especially as it is now viable to build prime offices again," she said.
