Kildare development site seeking close to €2.25m
REA Coonan has been retained as agent for a parcel development land in Co Kildare with an asking price of €2.25m.
The firm is seeking a buyer for 16.5 acres of land at Capdoo in Clane, Co Kildare.
The irregularly shaped property is located in the area zoned "masterplan objective" within the Clane local area plan from 2009.
Coonan's say the property includes a residential dwelling and a number of outbuildings but the property is most attractive for its apparent potential for development.
The proeprty is located north of Clane, close to Clongowes Wood College as well as a number of one-off homes.
Will Coonan, who is running the sale for REA Coonan, commented: The site is sure to command strong interest given its location in one of the more affluent towns within the greater Dublin Area".
He added that "a number of potential purchasers have been focused on these types of locations during the past 12 months, particularly given the current housing shortage and the possible scope for continued house price inflation in these areas," Mr Coonan added.
Clane is about 30 km from the M4/M50 interchange and is described as being served by strong transport links. It is close to Salins and Maynooth train stations.
As well as REA Coonan, Savills are also working on the sale.
Development land around the capital has become more valuable in recent months as the housing crisis continues.
