A ready-to-go development site of 22.7 acres in Co Kildare with full planning permission for 187 houses is for sale with a €6.5 million guide price.

Located in an area known as Southgreen on the northern side of Kildare town, the land is about 600 metres from the train station, with Kildare Community School to the immediate north of the lands and Kildare town centre to the south.

Kildare estate agency Coonan Property has set June 27 as the closing date for tenders.

In April 2018, Kildare County Council granted planning permission for 187 townhouses, semi-detached and detached units. It is convenient to the town centre, Tesco shopping mall and the popular Kildare Village fashion outlet shopping.

Just off the M7 motorway, Kildare town is about 15 miles from Naas and 32 miles from Dublin and has a range of national and secondary schools, with the well-known Newbridge College only 15 minutes away.

Local attractions include the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens, a renowned bloodstock nursery and tourist attraction, as well as the newly re-developed Curragh Racecourse and Kildare Town Heritage Centre.

Meanwhile, recently Coonan Property sold a Co Meath development site at auction for €525,000 to a Dublin building company. The site came with full planning permission for 16 semi-detached houses, which equates to €32,800 per house site.

A level site, it has good profile and is situated within the quaint village of Rathmoylon close to the school, shops and the church. Rathmoylon is located about 8km from Summerhill and about 20km from Kilcock and the M4 motorway.
