The State’s first carbon budgets are a hot topic and under the Climate Act, Ireland faces the challenging target of achieving a 51pc reduction in emissions by 2030.

While legislation requiring high energy-efficiency standards in new buildings is the primary driver of improvements, it’s gratifying to see there is a growing desire for increased sustainability among building occupiers.
