Greyhound Bar goes on the market for €120,000-a-year rental
ONE of the most recognisable pubs in west Dublin has been made available to rent.
BNP Paribas Real Estate is offering the Greyhound Bar on Main Street in Blanchardstown for lease at €120,000 a year.
The well-known premises, which extends to 573.3sqm, is located close to a SuperValu and the Blanchardstown Village Shopping Centre.
The accommodation comprises a large ground floor which extends to 403sqm. This includes a lounge and bar area, bathrooms, and kitchen area. The basement extends to 142sqm and includes a large keg store, dry goods stores, cold room and secure office.
There is a small first floor where there are bathrooms and an office.
The shopping centre serves a very large catchment area estimated to be in excess of 150,000 people within 10 minutes.
Other traders include Lloyds Pharmacy, Peter Mark, Grafton Barbers and Paddy Power while Bank of Ireland and Macaris are directly opposite the licensed premises.
According to Mervyn Ellis of BNP Paribas Real Estate, "this is an excellent opportunity to lease a large licensed premises located at the entrance to a successful and busy shopping centre in a densely populated suburb of Dublin.
"Strong interest is reported already and proposals are expected to be invited in the coming weeks," he added.
The Greyhound is the latest in a line of pubs to be brought to market in recent months, although most of those have been up for sale rather than rent.
