O'Donnellan & Joyce have been retained as agents over the Glenoaks Hotel in Galway with an asking price of €1.5m.

The 36 bedroom hotel is situated at Rahoon between Galway City and Salthill.

It is on the market by private treaty.

The hotel's interior is said to be "well finished and in good condition" The property is on being sold with the tenant not effected for now or with vacant possession effective from February 2016.

Its ground floor interior is comprised of a large reception area, an office, bathroomsl bar, a dining area, kitchens and bar store. There is also a cold room and additional toilets for the staff. In total the ground floor space amounts to 504 sq.m. The first and second floors of the establishment each feature 18 rooms, all of which are fitted with en suite bathrooms.

"There are a wide range of possible uses for the hotel; due to its close proximity to National University of Galway with a student body in excess of 17,000, the hotel could conceivably be converted to a large student complex, subject to the correct planning permission being sought.
